Sonny McCree brings veteran blue-collar linebacker energy to Fresno State
Sonny McCree is a Fresno State linebacker whose profile reads like a coach’s favorite: a homegrown walk-on from Fresno, a special-teams grinder, and a player trusted to earn snaps through effort and reliability rather than flash. Fresno State’s roster bio says he has long been a developing role player, and his game has been defined by toughness, versatility, and a willingness to do the unglamorous work. If a team wants intensity, local pride, and someone who can help stabilize the middle of the field, McCree fits the bill.
