FIU lineman Doug Connell brings developmental upside and trench versatility
Doug Connell is listed as a 6-foot-3, 285-pound interior offensive lineman (center/guard) from Jacksonville, and the clearest takeaway from the available recruiting data is his value as a versatile, buildable piece for the line rather than a finished product. Publicly available sources show him as a committed FIU prospect with a center profile and strong multi-position utility, which is exactly the kind of flexibility coaches like when shaping protection schemes and short-yardage run games. If you need a compact, coachable lineman with room to add strength and polish, Connell looks like a sensible fit.
