Efficient frontcourt scorer with a proven rebound-and-finish game
Gerlach stood out for Air Force as a **high-efficiency forward** who could score inside, rebound, and quietly swing a game without needing a huge usage load; in the 2001-02 season he was named MWC Player of the Week after averaging 19.0 points and 3.3 rebounds while shooting 18-of-20 from the field, and his game logs show multiple strong scoring nights, including 18 points and 10 rebounds against UNLV. [6][2] That profile suggests a dependable, low-drama fit for a team that values smart positioning, finishing, and toughness more than flash. [5][6]
