Mercer DB Sebastian Hicks brings steady, assignment-sound depth
Sebastian Hicks profiles as a reliable Mercer defensive back who has already shown game experience and some playmaking pop: in the 2024 season, he appeared in nine games with three starts, posting 13 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. That stat line suggests a DB who can help in run support and handle meaningful snaps without needing the ball to find him every week. His value is in consistency, toughness, and versatility rather than splashy production, making him a sensible fit for a team that wants a dependable, physical depth piece in the secondary.
