Gavin McCrary brings veteran tight-end size, but his Memphis impact is hard to gauge
As of the 2026 season, Gavin McCrary is listed by Memphis as a 6-foot-4, 250-pound tight end, but publicly available stat lines do not show a clear production profile, so the evaluation leans more on role and traits than box-score fireworks.[1][3] His background suggests a physical, multi-sport athlete who came out of Houston High School with tight-end/defensive-end versatility and the kind of frame that can help as an inline blocker or matchup piece.[3][7] If your team wants a big-bodied TE with developmental upside, he fits; if you need a proven receiving weapon right now, the data is thin.[1][3]
