Emerging DL Talent for Howard Bison with Limited Spotlight Stats
Edwin Piner, a defensive lineman for the Howard University Bison, remains an under-the-radar prospect with no publicly available career statistics as of the 2025-26 season, highlighting his developmental role on a HBCU program building momentum in the MEAC. Strengths include his high school pedigree from Piner Prospectors (Santa Rosa, CA), where he showcased raw power and hustle in highlights against regional foes like Santa Rosa (2019); differentiators are his relentless motor and frame suited for run-stopping, ideal for teams seeking gritty, coachable depth players without injury red flags. Worth watching for FCS-level upside—solid fit for rebuild squads prioritizing intangibles over proven production.
