
ODU’s young righty shows swing-and-miss stuff, but the command is still catching up
In the 2026 season, Jayce Park has flashed intriguing bat-missing ability for Old Dominion, with 18 strikeouts in 14.0 innings, but the run prevention and strike-throwing have lagged a bit, reflected in a 5.14 ERA, 1.86 WHIP and 12 walks. He looks like a classic upside RHP: competitive, attack-minded, and capable of missing barrels, yet still in the development lane where consistency and efficiency will decide how quickly he becomes a reliable weekend option. If a staff wants raw arm talent with growth runway, he’s worth a look.
