Daniel Hammett Jr. brings takeaway production and starting experience to Norfolk State’s secondary
Hammett profiles as a playmaking **cornerback** whose calling card is ball production: in 2024, he played in all 11 games, made seven starts, and led Norfolk State with **five interceptions** for **177 return yards**. That kind of turnover impact is a differentiator for a DB because it shows instinct, anticipation, and the ability to flip field position, not just make routine tackles. For a team looking for a defensive back who can create possessions and has proven he can handle a meaningful role, Hammett is worth a close look.
