FIU Panthers' Steady Guard Anchor with Untapped Potential
Cherisse 'Cherise' Beynon, the resilient FIU Panthers guard (noted as Cherisse Buddy in queries), brings veteran leadership and academic excellence—highlighted by her 2017-18 CoSIDA Academic All-America nod from New Mexico days—to a gritty squad; her strengths lie in high-basketball IQ, tenacious defense, and clutch playmaking, making her a low-risk, high-floor fit for teams needing a reliable floor general who elevates teammates without drama. No major injury history, but her intensity shines in big moments—perfect for programs valuing smarts and heart over flash.
