Dual-Role Outfielder/Pitcher with Elite Size and Transfer Portal Momentum
Kincaid Bergthold stands out as a 6'4", 210-lb dual-threat outfielder and right-handed pitcher for Stony Brook, bringing a rare physical profile and high-intensity mindset to the mound and field. While his 2026 pitching ERA (16.20) reflects limited innings (3.1 IP), his career hitting average of .330 across 80 varsity games—with 42 RBI, 13 doubles, and 5 home runs—demonstrates consistent offensive production. Entering the transfer portal with two years of eligibility and prior experience at Fresno State and Arizona, Bergthold offers teams a versatile, battle-tested athlete with elite size and a competitive fire that transcends stats. His differentiator is not just his dual-role capability, but his proven adaptability across top programs and a personality driven by relentless intensity. For any team seeking a high-ceiling, physically dominant player who can contribute immediately in multiple roles, Bergthold is a compelling fit.
