Akron QB Jared Wackerly brings proven high-school production and scout-team value
Jared Wackerly is a North Canton, Ohio product who arrived at Akron after a senior season at Hoover in which he threw for 2,526 yards and 29 touchdowns, and Akron has already recognized him as a Zips Scout Team Player of the Year on defense.[4][1] His calling card is versatility and football IQ: he offers a quarterback background, demonstrated production, and the kind of practice-field competitiveness that coaches trust, even if his current game-day impact at Akron is still more developmental than established.[4] If you want a young QB with local roots, toughness, and a track record of winning habits, he is a worthy monitor rather than a finished product.[4][1]
