Bucknell’s reliable, lunch-pail linebacker with academic polish
Cole McCabe has been a steady, physical Bucknell linebacker who brings special-teams value, toughness, and a high football IQ more than splashy stat lines. In the 2021 season, he played in Bucknell’s first eight games, made 10 tackles, posted a season-high four tackles against Penn, and added a half tackle for loss against Cornell before an injury ended his season early. He also carries a strong academic profile, having made Bucknell’s Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, which fits a coach looking for a disciplined, dependable, team-first defender.
