Veteran DB with a big-play résumé at Lafayette
Jeff Werrell stands out as a disciplined, ball-hawking defensive back who delivered game-changing moments for Lafayette, including an interception in a key 2001 matchup against Georgetown and recorded tackles in the 1999 season that show he was active around the ball.[5][1] The clearest differentiator is his football IQ and timing—he fits as a player you trust in coverage when you need a smart, reliable defender who can make a momentum-shifting play rather than just fill a stat sheet.[5][1]
