Jorge Diaz Nicolas brings big-leg upside and all-around kicking versatility to Virginia
A 6-foot-4, 235-pound freshman kicker from Madrid, Jorge Diaz Nicolas arrives at Virginia with proven high-school production and notable multi-role value: in fall 2024 he went 15-for-19 on field goals with a long of 53 yards, added 45 touchbacks, and handled punting duties with 7 of 22 punts downed inside the 20; he was also ranked No. 14 in the 2025 Kohl’s Kicker Rankings and earned all-state honors. That profile makes him a high-upside fit for a staff that values leg strength, kickoff control, and roster flexibility.
