Local back with legit upside, but the Jayhawks chapter was brief
Tylan Alejos is a 5-foot-9, 200-pound running back from Topeka who joined Kansas as a freshman in 2022 and redshirted without game action, then transferred to Washburn, where he began getting college reps and posted 48 rushing yards on 5 carries in the 2024 season. His appeal is compact build, hometown toughness, and a willingness to grind through the kind of developmental path that says “team guy” more than “headline chaser.” If you want a hard-nosed, depth-friendly back with local roots and upside, he fits the vibe; if you need proven Power Four production, the résumé is still light.
