Jaden Mathis brings two-way forward value and a real scoring gear for Whittier
Mathis looks like a useful, winning-fit forward for Whittier because he combines perimeter shooting, rebounding, and active defense with enough offensive upside to pop for big nights. In the 2024-25 season, he averaged 7.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.0 steal, and shot 33.3% from three for Palomar, then delivered a career-high 21 points with four threes and a perfect 5-for-5 at the line in Whittier’s 88–81 win at Caltech in January 2025. The signal here is versatility and intensity, not empty volume.
