Jack Lux is Oakland’s steady, lefty-swinging first-base bat with pop
In the 2026 season, Jack Lux has been a veteran run producer for Oakland, with the preseason team preview citing a .236 average, 25 hits, five home runs and 25 RBIs, while his 2024 note shows a monster on-base skill set (.364 average, .909 slugging, .667 OBP) that hints at real matchup danger when he’s locked in. He’s a 6th-year, 5-foot-9 first baseman with left-right versatility and enough defensive reliability to stay in the lineup; the appeal is simple: patience, sneaky thump, and senior leadership on a team that clearly trusts his bat.
