gritty two-sport Irish veteran with special-teams juice
DeBolt stood out at Notre Dame as a tough, high-IQ walk-on who won respect through versatility: he played linebacker/safety on football special teams and was a major force in lacrosse, where he won 56.4% of faceoffs in the 2002 season and led the team with 51 ground balls. Notre Dame’s own profile also credits him as a reserve linebacker and special-teams standout with uncommon durability and leadership, plus a serious academic profile in engineering/MBA work. If you value competitive fire, reliability, and a multi-sport grinder, he’s your kind of player.
