Derrick Jones brings ECU a compact, downhill RB build with upside, but current public production is limited
Derrick Jones is listed by East Carolina as a freshman running back from Little Silver, N.J., at 5'10" and 197 pounds, which suggests a sturdy, physical profile for inside runs and special-teams-style toughness. Publicly available 2024 roster information does not show much on-field production yet, so the main reason to care is his developmental upside rather than proven output. If you want a back with a dense frame, room to grow, and a chance to carve out a role through competitiveness and reliability, he is a plausible fit; if you need an immediate stat-producer, the track record is still thin.[8][4]
