In the 2025 season, Zach Vanderpool flashed real pass-rush juice for North Dakota State, posting 18 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks in 12 games as a freshman while earning Freshman All-America and MVFC All-Newcomer honors. He brings rare size for the spot at 6-foot-5 and around 275 pounds, and his best trait is disruptive effort in the trenches—he’s the kind of lineman who can wreck a drive without showing up every snap. He also battled a minor injury pause, which is worth watching, but the early production says he fits a physical, high-upside defense well.
