Virginia DB Prospect with Untapped High School Pedigree
Jake Dewease, a Class of 2019 safety/wide receiver from Lord Botetourt High School in Virginia, showcased dual-threat versatility in high school with sharp ball skills as a receiver (noted for low interception rates in passing attacks) and physicality in the secondary; while no verified college stats exist for Virginia Cavaliers as of 2026, his Hudl highlights reveal elite speed, tackling tenacity, and playmaking instincts that differentiate him as a hard-nosed DB with returner upside—perfect fit for teams needing intense, versatile defenders who elevate run support and special teams.
