Cody Carbaugh gives William & Mary steady backcourt minutes with playmaking upside
Carbaugh is a 6-3 guard whose value comes from being a reliable connector rather than a volume scorer: in 2024-25, he played all 28 games, averaged 3.4 points, and ranked third on the team in assists, and ESPN lists him at 4.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game in 2025-26[2][5]. That profile suggests a smart, team-first fit for a system that wants ball security, modest scoring, and guard depth more than a high-usage creator[2][5].
