a long-armed, physically mature linebacker still fighting for reps at Boston College
Murphy stands out as a developmental **outside linebacker** with proven high-school production and the kind of size/physical profile Boston College typically likes at the position, but his current value is more about *upside and fit* than box-score impact. He was a two-time first-team All-Metro selection in high school, and at BC he is still in the early phase of earning meaningful reps, which suggests he is a project with traction rather than a finished product. If you want a linebacker who brings competition, length, and room to grow, he’s worth watching.
