a dual-threat QB profile, but current Portland State role is unclear
Cade Smith’s most verifiable football profile points to a 6-foot-1, 194-pound dual-threat quarterback from West Salem High School who signed with Utah State, but current public data does not clearly show him as Portland State’s active QB in 2026. That means the key takeaway is fit, not flash: if he’s in the mix, expect mobility, structure, and a player with listed quarterback background rather than proven recent production at Portland State. Before buying in, confirm the roster status and spring/fall camp depth chart.
