A gritty, productive forward who brought toughness and timely scoring to Murray State
In the 2004-05 season, Jessica Hirsch was a 6-foot-1 Murray State forward who gave the Racers a hard-nosed interior presence and enough perimeter touch to stretch defenses, averaging 6.6 points and 3.2 rebounds while also hitting 25 threes. She was praised as a “take-no-prisoners” competitor who chased loose balls, played with intensity, and earned OVC Newcomer of the Week honors after a strong early stretch. That mix of edge, versatility, and relentlessness makes her the kind of player coaches usually love, even if the fouls come with the fire.
