Elon LB Zach Henderson brings versatile, walk-on grit to the Phoenix front seven
Henderson is best known as a former walk-on who earned a scholarship after a solid freshman year, and Elon’s own roster note says he moved from safety to outside linebacker, a switch that usually signals range, toughness, and football IQ.[5] In his 2010 season, he started one of 11 games and finished with 16 tackles, showing rotational value and development upside rather than gaudy stat-line production.[3] He looks like a fit for a team that values adaptable defenders who can learn multiple roles, play with edge, and contribute on special teams or depth snaps while continuing to develop physically and technically.[3][5]
