Berney brings veteran fullback depth and dependable utility to Towson
Brandon Berney is a steady, low-drama fullback who gave Towson reliable depth and versatility; in the 2014 season, he played in all 12 games, logged 19 rushing yards on five carries and 31 receiving yards, and was even used at both fullback and running back. His value is less about eye-popping volume and more about doing the dirty work, staying available, and fitting multiple roles without fuss. If a team wants a tough, assignment-sound FB who can handle spot touches and special-use snaps, Berney is the kind of glue guy coaches quietly love.
