Duquesne’s Assist-First Floor General
A classic pass-first guard for Duquesne, Martin Osimani stood out by running the offense with poise and vision: in the 2003-04 season he piled up 172 assists, one of the best single-season marks in school history, and he also delivered a school-record-tying 12 assists in a game while playing through a facial injury and wearing protective goggles. He’s the kind of guard who raises a team’s IQ, keeps the ball moving, and brings toughness that doesn’t always show up in a box score—exactly the sort of connector a coach can trust.
