Mobile SDSU QB with Elite Pocket Intensity and 247Composite Four-Star Pedigree
Jake Rodrigues, a 247Sports composite four-star transfer from Oregon to San Diego State, stands out not just for his 165.5 efficiency rating and 67-yard, 1-TD redshirt-freshman season in 2013, but for his rare blend of pocket mobility and relentless intensity that elevates the entire offense. Unlike typical QBs who rely solely on arm strength, Rodrigues is an athletic passer who improves his accuracy under pressure, making him a high-fit leader for teams needing a QB who thrives in chaos. Though he sat third on the depth chart after spring drills, his personality—driven, competitive, and resilient—suggests he’ll seize the moment when called, especially given his history of overcoming roster shifts. He’s not just a stat leader; he’s a culture-setter with the grit to lead a team through adversity.
