Tye Murphy gives Lafayette a proven secondary piece with cornerback instincts and game experience
Tye Murphy is a Lafayette defensive back whose value comes from his experience, coverage discipline, and fit in a secondary that has long been a point of identity for the Leopards. Lafayette has previously described Murphy as a starting cornerback, which signals trust in his reliability and understanding of the defense[5]. ESPN also lists him on Lafayette’s roster as a cornerback, confirming his role in the defensive backfield[6]. If your team wants a DB who brings steadiness, technique, and competitive edge more than flash, Murphy looks like a practical, scheme-ready addition[5][6].
