Laura Nielsen brings old-school post grit to the Jackrabbits
Laura Nielsen is a 6-2 center whose value comes from efficient, physical interior play and a knack for doing the dirty work—her career college line shows solid shooting touch (48.5% FG) and steady rebounding, while South Dakota State notes she battled an early-season injury and still carved out a meaningful role in the rotation. In the 2007-08 season, she was described as a player who could expand the Jackrabbits’ post depth, which makes her a fit for teams needing size, toughness, and low-ego production more than highlight-reel volume.
