Carlie Jones brings two-way frontcourt toughness to Southern Utah
Jones is a promising Southern Utah center whose early college résumé points to a gritty, rebound-first interior presence: as a freshman in 2017-18, she played in 27 games and averaged 1.4 rebounds in 8.4 minutes per game, then missed the 2018-19 season because of injury.[1] The key fit question is health and availability, but when active she has shown the kind of physical, role-driven energy coaches value in the paint—someone who can absorb contact, compete on the glass, and give a lineup some edge rather than just box-score numbers.[1]
