Haley Hughes brings efficient bat-to-ball pop and a utility spark for Tarleton State
In the 2025 season, Haley Hughes was a productive redshirt freshman for Tarleton State, hitting .313 with a .869 OPS, .406 slugging, and .463 on-base percentage while posting 10 hits, five RBIs, nine runs, and nine walks in just 32 at-bats.[1] She also flashed versatility and situational value, including a perfect 3-for-3 outing against Memphis and a sacrifice bunt in the Houston Christian game, which says a lot about a player who can help in multiple ways beyond raw power.[1][2] The fit? Pretty tidy: contact-oriented, disciplined, and useful in clutch spots for a lineup that wants flexibility and a steady competitor.
