steady-leg specialist with proven long-range upside
In the 2023 season, Jackson Baltar was a fifth-year Buffalo kicker/punter with a big leg and real versatility, highlighted by a 52-yard field goal that tied the longest by a UB kicker in the school’s FBS era and a 43.3-yard punting average in one game against Bowling Green. His value is less about volume and more about reliability, adaptability, and special-teams depth—he can cover kicking and punting duties when needed, which is gold for roster flexibility. For a team, he profiles as a dependable specialist with game-changing range rather than a pure high-volume field-goal machine.
