Matthew Cuzco brings bullpen depth and flashes of swing-and-miss stuff for MVSU
In the 2026 season, Matthew Cuzco has emerged as a useful Mississippi Valley State bullpen arm, with the team noting scoreless outings and multi-strikeout relief work, including a perfect inning against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and two strikeouts in a scoreless frame against South Alabama. He’s a big-bodied right-hander at 6'2", 225 pounds, which fits a power-relief profile, and his early collegiate résumé suggests he can miss bats when he’s in rhythm. The fit question is about consistency: the raw tools and usable innings are there, but he profiles more as a situational depth piece than a finished product right now.
