BYU’s low-usage, high-IQ glue forward
In the 2024-25 season, Townsend Tripple was a quietly efficient BYU forward who appeared in 19 games and shot 100% inside the arc, bringing energy, fundamentals, and a high basketball IQ more than box-score fireworks. At 6-foot-8, he projects as a smart rotational piece: solid positional size, dependable effort, and the kind of connective play coaches love when they need a steady locker-room presence. His limited role and transfer-portal departure in April 2025 suggest he was more of a depth/fit piece than a featured scorer, but a mid-major that values toughness and stretch-forward potential could absolutely have a use for him.
