Blake Smith brings veteran backcourt depth and efficient, low-mistake guard play
Smith is a **transfer redshirt senior guard** heading to Oral Roberts after four seasons at Northwestern, and his appeal is as a steady, experienced backcourt piece rather than a high-usage scorer.[1][9] In limited action for Northwestern in 2023-24, he averaged **2.4 points**, **1.7 rebounds**, and **0.5 steals** in **13.7 minutes per game** while shooting **63.6% from the field**, suggesting efficiency and discipline over volume.[9] If your team wants a mature guard who can fit into a role, defend, and keep the offense organized, Smith looks like a credible rotation add.[1][9]
