CJ Scifres brings Big Ten-sized upside to Indiana’s interior line
The 2026 Indiana freshman offensive lineman is a massive in-state prospect at 6-5/6-6 and 315-325 pounds, with recruiting buzz that included a consensus three-star grade and state-top-20 praise in Indiana. He fits the classic Hoosier trench profile: big frame, interior versatility, and the kind of physical project coaches love because the ceiling is higher than the box-score stats ever show. The most useful takeaway is context—he’s a development lineman, likely to redshirt and refine technique, so the appeal is long-term power and durability rather than instant fireworks.
