deep-bench guard with international upside and walk-on grit
AK Fihla is a Temple guard whose appeal is more about trajectory and toughness than box-score noise: Temple listed him as a 6-2 walk-on from Johannesburg, and he has shown up as a developmental piece who earned his roster spot the hard way. In the 2023-24 season, he appeared in two games and made his collegiate debut against UMES, while his high school résumé included 18 points and six assists per game at St. David’s. He’s a fit for a program that values hustle, patience, and long-term upside.
