veteran Evansville guard with proven Purple Aces history
Devan Welch is a former Evansville guard whose profile shows size for the position and multi-year experience in the program, with roster listings at 6-3 to 6-4 and 190-plus pounds across the 2003-05 seasons[1][3]. The key differentiator is not a box-score headline, but fit: a bigger guard who brings maturity, positional flexibility, and old-school toughness to a team context that has long needed steadiness on the perimeter. For a roster seeking a composed, physical backcourt piece, Welch’s value is in reliable veteran guard traits more than flash[1][3].
