veteran Wolfpack linebacker with a special-teams edge
Corrie Dawson is a former NC State linebacker who was known more for depth and special teams than headline-grabbing box scores; in his NC State career, available stat trackers show he did not record a tackle, which points to a role built around reliability, effort, and doing the dirty work. He was a solid backup behind established linebackers and, at his best, offered size, straight-line toughness, and roster flexibility rather than splash-play production. If you need a tone-setter who embraces assignment football, Dawson fits the mold.
