Josh Halcisak brings strikeout upside, but command remains a work in progress
Halcisak is a workhorse-sized right-hander at **6'1", 220** who has shown real swing-and-miss ability for Mount St. Mary’s, ranking among the team strikeout leaders with **41 K in 41.0 innings** in 2026 while also making **19 appearances** and **2 starts**.[1][2][6][7] The upside is clear: he can miss bats and give a staff needed innings, but the run prevention has lagged a bit, with a **5.93 ERA** and **25 walks** in 2026 pointing to command consistency as the key separator between a useful arm and a late-inning weapon.[2]
