Gabriel Barrett is San Francisco’s go-to senior workhorse on the mound
In the 2026 season, Barrett has been the Dons’ steadying right-hander, highlighted by a six-inning, scoreless, 10-strikeout gem against Loyola Marymount and a five-inning shutout in the opener, showing he can miss bats and settle a game down when he’s locked in[1][2]. His profile is built on command, poise, and durability rather than pure flash, and reports from the MLB Draft League note a lively fastball that has touched the low-90s with legit swing-and-miss traits[4]. If you want a senior starter who can compete, give innings, and keep the adrenaline pointed in the right direction, he’s a strong fit[1][5].
