Brandon Gurley brings depth, special-teams value, and steady defensive-back experience to Mercer
Brandon Gurley’s appeal is as a reliable, role-friendly DB who has already shown he can contribute in game action and on special teams, including playing in all 11 games in 2018 and posting 15 tackles with an interception. Mercer’s roster notes frame him as a reserve defensive back with steady snap availability rather than a headline ball-hawk, which makes him a fit for teams that value discipline, toughness, and low-drama depth in the secondary.
