Monmouth’s low-drama righty who’s been quietly hard to square up
In the 2026 season, Colin Ruddy has been a reliable senior right-hander for Monmouth, highlighted by a scoreless three-inning outing against UNCW and a stretch where he held opponents scoreless in four of five appearances. He profiles as a composed, strike-throwing bullpen arm who can steady a game rather than overpower it, and he’s also on Monmouth’s 2026 CAA academic honor roll. If you want a tough, team-first pitcher who can give clean innings and handle pressure without the fireworks, he’s a smart fit.
