experienced Akron LB with proven tackling pedigree
Ryan Myers brings a sturdy, physical linebacker profile to Akron, listed at 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds, and his stat line shows he can stack tackles when given the chance—he logged 13 career tackles in the NFL and was productive in college, including a standout 2001 Akron game with 11.5 total tackles, a tackle for loss, a forced fumble, a pass breakup, and a sack. He looks like the kind of defender who fits best in an aggressive, downhill front: reliable, forceful, and not shy about contact. The big question is fit and role—he’s most valuable if a team wants tone-setting linebacker play, not just splashy highlight stats.
