Swedish Forward with Gritty Senior-Night Breakout at Fresno State
Lydia Friberg, a 6-foot-2 forward from Lulea, Sweden, delivered her most impactful performance in the 2019-20 season, playing a season-high 11 minutes in her first career start on Senior Night at Fresno State, where she posted season highs in points and rebounds despite averaging just 0.6 PPG and 0.8 RPG overall. Her differentiators include intense defensive presence, a calm under-pressure personality shaped by her international upbringing, and a resilient injury history that saw her return stronger after prior setbacks. While her stats are modest, her intensity and team-first mentality make her a reliable fit for teams needing a gritty, versatile forward who elevates in clutch moments.
