Ashley Johnson brings Tennessee State a field-position weapon at punter
Ashley Johnson profiles as a **special-teams value piece** for Tennessee State because punters who can flip field position are often difference-makers in close games, even when they do not show up in flashy box-score stats. The available team records confirm Tennessee State’s strong 2024 season, but public stat pages do not provide a clean individual punting line for Johnson, so the evaluation here is more about role fit than raw production. If she is controlling hang time, placement, and consistency, she is the kind of specialist that helps a team win possession battles and can fit well on a roster that values discipline and hidden yardage.
