Gentle entered Tennessee as a physically imposing 6-3, 265-pound defensive lineman and has already shown enough production to suggest he can grow into a disruptive SEC front piece, finishing his 2024 freshman season with five tackles, 0.5 TFL and 0.5 sack in three games before redshirting. His appeal is the combo package: high-motor edge-to-interior flexibility, wrestling-bred toughness, and a track record of backfield disruption in high school, where he piled up sacks, TFLs and all-state honors.
