Jack James is giving SFA a steady left-handed bridge arm in 2026
In the 2026 season, Jack James has been a dependable multi-inning lefty for Stephen F. Austin, working 8.2 innings across five appearances with just five hits and two walks allowed, one unearned run, and three strikeouts in a key win over New Orleans.[1] His profile is built on strike-throwing, poise, and matchup value more than overpowering stuff, and his 2025 season showed he can handle volume with 31 appearances, a 4.31 ERA, and 24 strikeouts in 31.1 innings.[1][2] If your team wants a seasoned, low-drama LHP who can neutralize innings and fit a bullpen role, he’s a useful piece.
